Empuls provides real-time, data-driven insights to help Super Admins, HR leaders, and Managers track the ROI of engagement and rewards. This dashboard helps optimize budgets, increase participation, and uncover hidden talent trends.

Access Levels & Navigation

Access is role-based to ensure data privacy and relevance:

  • Super Admins & HR: Full access to company-wide analytics and raw data logs.

  • Managers: Access to "My Team" to track direct reports' performance.

  • Employees: Access to personal engagement data and skill mapping.

To access: Navigate to the Reports & Admin to enter the Admin Hub > Reports from the left-hand sidebar.

Core Reporting Categories

The updated UI categorizes insights into four primary functional reports:

  1. Recognition Report

The Recognition Report tracks the culture of appreciation within your organization by providing a detailed breakdown of how recognition is flowing between employees. To access these insights, go to Recognitions Report tab.

1.1 Recognitions Received

This section allows you to monitor your personal impact and the awards you have accumulated.

  • Core Metrics: View how many unique individuals have recognized you, the total number of non-monetary awards received, and the cumulative value of all award points you have earned.

  • Dynamic Tools: Use the Pivot by User feature to reorganize data, and apply specific filters or Date Filters to track your growth over a defined period.

  • Recognition Summary Table: Located beneath the core metrics, this table highlights your most frequently received awards and those you receive the least.

    A detailed breakdown for each employee showing:

    • Non-monetary recognitions received

    • Monetary awards received

    • Recognition received from managers vs peers

    • Total award points received & total redemption value

    • Currency of awards

    This helps track fairness, identify high performers, and spot teams with low recognition visibility.

  • Core Values Table: See a specialized breakdown of which organizational core values you are most often recognized for.

  • Nominations Received: Review a summary of all pending and approved nominations where you are the intended recipient.

1.2 Recognitions Given

This section focuses on your activity as a nominator and your contribution to the company culture.

  • Activity Overview: Track the total number of people you have recognized, the non-monetary awards you have distributed, and the total monetary value of all awards you have granted.

  • Summary Table: Analyze your giving patterns through a table showing the colleagues you recognize most (and least), the total number of awards you've issued, and the different core value types you emphasize.

  • Nomination Summary: Access a complete table and summary of all nominations you have raised, including their current approval status.

2. Budget Report

The Budget Report provides essential transparency into the allocation and utilization of funds across your organization. It is designed to help Super Admins and Finance teams monitor spending health and ensure reward programs stay within their financial parameters.

To access these insights, navigate to Admin Hub > Reports > Budget Report.

Navigation & Customization

  • Filter View: Use the global drop-down menu to quickly switch between different reporting views or organization levels.

  • Report Options: Tailor the data to your specific needs by Pivoting by User or Department. You can further refine the results by filtering for specific Budgets (e.g., Performance, Culture, or Long Service) or specific Recipients.

  • Date-Based Analysis: Use the calendar icon to observe spending trends and budget depletion over a defined period.

This section offers a deep dive into the movement of points:

  • Key Budget Metrics (Top Summary Bar)

    The top bar provides a snapshot of your organization’s current reward budget status:

    • Total Points Allocated - Overall points assigned to all budget owners.

    • Total Budget Allocated (Value) - Monetary equivalent of all assigned points.

    • Total Points Spent - Total points already given out through recognition or awards.

    • Total Budget Spent (Value) - Monetary value of the spent points.

    • Total Points Unused - Points still available for future recognition.

    • Total Budget Unused (Value) - Unspent monetary value.

    • Budget Utilization % - Percentage of total budget that has been used so far.

    This gives leadership and finance a real-time understanding of budget health.

  • Pending Nominations (Value)

    If your organization uses approval-based nominations, this section displays:

    • Total value of nominations pending approval

    • Base currency used

    This helps admins anticipate upcoming spend and maintain financial control.

  • Budget Utilization Comparison (By User)

    This table compares how individual budget owners are using their assigned reward budgets.

    For each user, the report shows:

    • User Name / Email

    • Closing Balance – Points still available with the owner

    • Utilization % – How much of their budget they have actually used

    This identifies:

    • Budget owners who are highly active

    • Managers who are not utilizing their recognition budget

    • Teams that may need budget top-ups

    • Areas where training or nudges may be needed

  • Points Movement Summary

    At the bottom, the report shows total movement of points across the system:

    • Points Rewarded – Total points actually given to employees

    • Points Gifted – Points distributed through gifting or campaigns

    • Points Revoked – Points that were withdrawn or canceled

    This helps maintain a complete audit trail of all budget-related transactions.

  • Helps reduce waste ⇒ Unused budget and low activity areas highlight where reallocations may be needed.

How Admins Use This Report

  • HR Teams ⇒ Track recognition adoption across managers.

  • Finance Teams ⇒ Monitor spend and unused value.

  • Program Owners ⇒ Adjust budgets, set top-ups, or modify rules.

  • Leadership ⇒ Understand how recognition is driving engagement.

3. Redemption Report

The Redemption Report provides a comprehensive view of how employees utilize their earned points, offering detailed transaction logs and wallet management insights. This report is critical for tracking organizational spend on rewards and ensuring financial transparency.

To access these insights, navigate to Admin Hub > Reports > Redemption Report.

Navigation & Customization

  • Filter View: Utilize the global drop-down menu to filter the current data view based on your specific requirements.

  • Report Options: You can Pivot data by User, Department, cost center and more to analyze redemption patterns at different organizational levels.

  • Advanced Filters: Further refine your search by filtering for specific Budgets, Recipients and more.

Key Data Insights

  • The Redemption Report is divided into two key tabs:

    • To Be Redeemed

      Tracks all points that are yet to be redeemed by users.

      You’ll see:

      • Points value with active users → Total redeemable points currently held by active employees.

      • Points value with inactive users → Redeemable points held by users who have left or become inactive.

      • Wallet Balance → Displays the current balance in your Redemption Wallet.

      This helps you estimate future financial liability.

  • Redeemed

    Tracks all points that have already been redeemed.

    You’ll see:

    • Redeemed Points Value → Total redeemed point value within the selected period

    • Number of Orders Placed → Total number of redemptions made by employees

    This helps you understand redemption trends and catalog utilization.

  • Redemption Summary Table

    The Redemption Summary provides a line-by-line breakdown of each user’s redemption activity.

    The table includes:

    • User

    • Total Redeemable Points

    • Total Redeemable Point Value

    • Currency

    Admins can scroll through pages or export data for deeper analysis.

    Use case: Helps Finance track outstanding liabilities and unpaid redemption balances.

  • Wallet Management: Monitor the financial health of your program by viewing the Wallet Balance for every individual wallet in the system.

  • Rewarding Taxation Report

    This report simplifies tax compliance related to rewards.

    It includes:

    • User

    • Total Points Received

    • Total Received Currency Value

    • Currency Rewarded In

    • Source of Points (e.g., Work Anniversary, Christmas, Special Awards)

    Use case: Helps HR and Finance calculate taxable benefits for payroll processing.

  • Redeemed Taxation Report

    This section appears under the Redeemed tab.

    It shows:

    • Total taxable impact only for redeemed rewards, ensuring compliance for countries that tax only actual benefits received.

    If no redemptions exist, the report shows “No results were returned for this query.”

How to Use This Data

For HR

  • Track which teams redeem more often

  • Identify users who haven’t redeemed points

For Finance

  • Understand redemption liabilities

  • Reconcile payments against redemption wallet balance

4. Gift Report

Gift report provides a log of all gifts distributed to employees. It details the type of gift sent, the recipient, the delivery status, and the associated costs.

To access these insights, navigate to Admin Hub > Reports > Gift Report.

Navigation & Customization

  • Filter View: Use the global drop-down menu to switch between different organizational views or reporting levels.

  • Report Options: Tailor the data by Pivoting by User, Department, Cost center and more.

Key Data Insights

  • Overview: of gifts sent and gift point value sent.

  • Key Metrics Overview

    At the top of the report, admins see high-level insights:

    • Total Gifts Sent

      Number of automated and manual gifts delivered in the selected period.

    • Gift Point Value Sent

      Total monetary value of all points sent through gifting programs.

These metrics help track adoption and spend instantly.

  • Gifting Summary (Per User Breakdown)

    This section displays a detailed summary of all gift types delivered to each employee:

    • Birthday Gift Points Received

    • Birthday Gift Points Value

    • Service Anniversary Gift Points Received

    • Service Anniversary Gift Points Value

    • Onboarding Gift Points Received

    • Onboarding Gift Points Value

    • Other Gift Points Received

    • Other Gift Points Value

    Use cases:

    • HR can confirm that everyone received their milestone gifts.

    • Managers can review team-level gifting fairness.

    • Finance can validate budget utilization and taxation implications.

  • Automated Gifts Report

    A breakdown of all gifts triggered by automation rules (LSA, birthdays, onboarding, custom automations).

    Displays:

    • Recognition Type / Gift Category

    • Count of Instances Triggered

    Examples:

    • Birthday Gifts → 40 triggers

    • Mandatory Module Completion Gift → 8 triggers

    • 3-year Work Anniversary Gift → 6 triggers

    • 5-year Work Anniversary Gift → 3 triggers

    • 10-year Work Anniversary Gift → 1 trigger

    Use cases:

    • Verify automations are functioning correctly.

    • Identify patterns across tenure and events.

    • Measure the reach of non-monetary and monetary milestone programs.

  • Manual Gifts Report

    Shows all manually delivered gifts by HR or managers, including:

    • Contest rewards

    • Special appreciation gifts

    • Festival gifts

    • Any ad-hoc celebration gifting

    Use cases:

    • Track manual gift usage and ensure governance.

    • Validate spend for department-owned gifting programs.

    • Monitor engagement during culture events or celebrations.

  • Ensures every employee receives birthdays, onboarding, and milestone celebrations.

  • Eliminates manual tracking through real-time gifting visibility.

  • Helps audit gifting spend and avoid oversights.

  • Strengthens employee experience programs with measurable insights.

  • Supports transparency in automated and manual gifting processes.

5. My Organization

The Super Admins can access information about the allocated budgets and their utilisation to make improvements.

5.1) Account Live Status Dashboard

Tracking rewards points, nominations, and budgets is simple with Live Status reports. The Super Admin can manage all R&R tracking in one place, with the most up-to-date information on program parameters.

You can track your Budget Usage, Available Budget Points, Redemption Points, Redemption Wallet Balance, and Pending Nominations status.

Step 1: Navigate to Home > Reports & Admin to land on the admin dashboard. Click on Reports > My Organization to access Live Status reports. This report is updated on a real-time basis.

Note: The report can also be viewed as an HRBP. Use the drop-down on the right of the report and select your view.

5.2) R&R Dashboard

Track the effectiveness of your recognition and reward efforts with Empuls' live dashboard. The Empuls R&R Dashboard provides comprehensive usage reports for Super Admins.

Learn how to view various reports including feeds generated, awards given, budgets, redemptions, pending nominations, surveys created, gifts, and more using the steps below:

Step 1: Navigate to Home > Reports & Admin to land on the admin dashboard. Click on Reports > My Organization to view the dashboard.

1.1 - The engagement summary provides data about the following:

  • The Engagement Summary provides detailed information on Awards, Core Values, Gifts and Survey Data.

  • Core Value Data summarizes Core Values, Receiver/Recipient Name, Sender Name, and Date.

  • Gifts Data provides details on the Greeting Event, Greeting Name, Gift Value, Receiver/Recipient, Date, and Status, and you can download the report by clicking. Download Report.

  • Award Data provides details, including Award Name, Reward Value, Receiver/Recipient Emp ID and Name, Nominator Emp ID and Name, Budget Name and Owner Name, Nominated and Approved Dates, and Status.

  • Survey Data report provides data on Survey Name, creator_email, Survey Creation Date, Status, Total Invited, and Total Responded.

  • Active Groups Data report lists Active Group Names and the Total Number of Discussion Threads for each group.

Step 2: The data displayed is limited to your selected reporting span. Click on the calendar icon and choose the required dates.

You can also download different reports by clicking Download Report.

Step 3: Super Admins have access to a range of reports. Please see below for a list of the available reports.

  • The Appreciated Users List includes the Name, Email, and Total Appreciations Received: The Appreciative Users List displays each user's Name, Email and Total Appreciations Shared.

  • Most Effective Budget Utilisation provides data on the user's Name, Email and the Budget utilised by the user (in %).

  • Most Active Groups lists data on the group name and the no. Of discussion threads.

  • Points Overview lists the source of points, new points added and unused points.

  • Application of Points report lists down the number of points rewarded, send out as gifts and unused points.

  • Funds overview provides details about the new funds added and the unused funds.

  • Applications of Funds provide Total funds used for redemption, unused funds and total funds used for expiry.

1.2 Data Overview

The Data section of reports gives complete details of feeds on the platform(conversations), skill set in the organization, budget lifecycle(budgets), and award usage(awards).

Step 1: Navigate to Home > Reports & Admin to land on the admin dashboard. Click on Reports > My Organization and scroll down for data overview.

Step 2: You can see the skill in your employees which is majorly defined in 4 types - Communication, Interpersonal, Critical thinking and Leadership. Each skill have multiple sub skills, represented in the spider graph.

By using the filter, the graph will show the skills of the selected filter.
You can view the skills based on the filter of department, designation, grade, business unit, location, and cost center.

Step 3: You can customize the report for a specific pivot. Click on Pivot by Department and select the option required. You can Pivot by Department, Designation, Cost Center, Business Units, Grades and Location.

Step 4: On the top right side of the report you can toggle between a graph or table format.

Step 5: Click Download to download the report as a PDF.

You can view details of the following data:

  • Frequency of appreciations given: Numbers indicate the average number of appreciations shared by employees from that group.

  • Frequency of appreciations received: Numbers indicate the average number of appreciations received by employees in that group.

  • Distribution of appreciations: The thickness of the connection is proportional to the number of times appreciations were shared by those on the left to those on the right.

  • Reward budget utilization: Numbers indicate the percentage of budget used for awards and it ranges from 0% to 100%. Blanks indicate you didn't allocate budgets.

  • Average point(s) given: Numbers indicate the average number of reward point(s) given by an employee in the group.

  • Average point(s) received: Numbers indicate the average number of point(s) received as gifts by an employee in the group.

  • Frequency of nominations raised: Numbers indicate the average number of nominations raised by an employee in the group.

  • Point(s) remaining: Shows data for groups with the highest number of point(s) available for redemption.

  • Monthly Active Users: Percentage of users who accessed Empuls across months.

  • Core Values Usage Trend: Numbers indicate the number of times an organizational value was used to appreciate.

  • Savings Trend (perks usage): Indicate data for the net savings made department wise on discounted gift cards.

4. Raw Data Report

Super admins can access different data and filter it by:

  • Awards

  • Budget

  • Budget transactions

  • Conversation

  • Core value

  • Destroyed reward points

  • Gifts

  • Leaderboad

  • Login

You can also use the calendar icon to set the date range for the data you want. Use the filter icon to further refine the reports using the following filters.

6. Custom Report

Search and Manage Custom Reports

Step 1: You can search for a custom report by its name or description. Alternatively, filter reports by adding an email ID.

Step 2: You can share, edit, or delete a report:

Use the share icon and enter the details of the person you want to send it to.

Click on the three-dot menu to edit or delete the report.

Viewing Capabilities in Reports

Empuls lets admins, HRBPs, managers, and leaders view reports from different perspectives. This ensures every stakeholder sees insights relevant to their responsibilities.

  • View As (Any Employee Profile)

    You can switch the report view to any employee profile.

    This helps you understand how reports and data appear from their point of view.

    Use cases:

    • Verify whether a user has correct visibility.

    • Troubleshoot access or data issues.

    • Validate manager or HRBP report experience.

  • Role-Based Viewing

    Available roles typically include:

    • Super Admin ⇒ Full visibility across all teams, budgets, awards, and recognition activity.

    • Manager ⇒ Sees recognition given and received within their reporting tree. Insights include team performance, participation, and gaps.

    • HRBP ⇒Sees data for employees mapped to their business unit or function. Useful for program oversight, adoption tracking, and department-level insights.

    • Cost Center Head ⇒ Sees recognition budgets, award usage, and adoption patterns for their cost center.

    Use cases:

    • Understand how different leaders see recognition and budget reports.

    • Validate governance and ensure the right data is shown to the right role.

    • Enable HRBPs and managers to make data-driven decisions without exposing global data.

  • Why Role-Based Viewing Matters

    • Improves governance: Ensures sensitive data is only seen by authorized roles.

    • Builds transparency: Managers and HRBPs get insights specific to their teams.

    • Supports accurate decision-making: Each role sees the metrics they need most.

    • Simplifies troubleshooting: Admins can switch views to replicate what others see.

Creating a Custom Report

Step 1: Click Create Custom Report.

Step 2: Select a source report from the drop-down menu. Available options:

  • Awards

  • Gifts

  • Nominations

  • Budget

  • Redemption

  • Reward based taxation

  • Redemption based taxation

Step 3: Use the filters and add details. You can apply multiple filters to customize the report. Click Next.

Step 4: Add a custom name and description for the report. Click Create Report.

Step 5: Click on the report to expand it. Add a custom date range by selecting a start and end date. Apply the filter to view the report.
