Learn how to update your profile information.

Your Empuls profile is your professional presence on the platform. A complete, authentic profile helps colleagues discover and connect with you.

Your profile is a quick way for colleagues to learn more about you, including your skills, interests, hobbies, awards, and past accomplishments. Keeping your profile updated helps strengthen team bonds by identifying each other's strengths.

Before You Begin

You need to be logged into Empuls. Your profile is automatically created at sign-up but is incomplete until you add information. The more details you provide, the more discoverable you'll be.

Access Your Profile

Step 1: Click your profile picture or avatar in the upper right corner of the screen.

Step 2: Click on My Profile in the modal that opens up to begin making changes.

Add a Profile Picture

Step 1: Click the profile picture area in your profile editing section.

Step 2: Select Upload Photo and choose an image from your device.

Step 3: Choose a clear photo in JPG or PNG format, under 5MB.

Step 4: Crop the image to clearly show your face and shoulders.

Step 5: Save — your profile picture updates immediately.

💡 Tips for a great photo: Use a professional headshot with good lighting, a simple background, and a natural expression.

Step 6: (Optional) Add links to your social profiles:

  • LinkedIn

  • GitHub

  • Twitter / X

  • Personal website or blog

Add Personal and Professional Details

Step 1: Write your bio — aim for 2–3 sentences covering:

  • Your professional background

  • What you're passionate about

  • What colleagues should know about you

Step 2: List your skills and expertise, including:

  • Programming languages and tools

  • Soft skills and domain knowledge

  • Languages you speak

  • Certifications you hold

Step 3: Add the languages you speak

Step 4: Add your hobbies and interests, such as:

  • Sports and fitness

  • Creative pursuits

  • Travel and exploration

  • Cooking, gaming, volunteering

Manage Privacy Settings

Step 1: Go to Privacy Settings in your profile editing section.

Step 2: You may change the visibility of your personal information, such as your Birthday, Date of Joining. You can hide clicking on the Privacy Settings on the top right. Choose the desired setting and click Submit.

Viewing Recognition in Empuls

Empuls allows employees to view all their past recognitions in one place, including birthday wishes, long service awards, and yearbook entries.

How to View Past Recognitions

Scroll down the Profile page to see all the recognitions you’ve received. View wishes for birthdays, work anniversaries, and other milestones.

Migrating Past Recognitions

If you’re new to Empuls, you don’t have to lose recognitions received on other platforms. Your past recognitions can be migrated to Empuls and will be available under the My Profile section.

How do I update my profile information?

Click your profile picture at the bottom right corner and select My Profile. From there, you can edit your photo, about section, social handles, skills, hobbies, and more.

Can I control who sees my personal information?

Yes, click on Privacy Settings in your profile. You can choose to hide or show information like your birthday, date of joining, and contact details.

How can I view my past recognitions on Empuls?

Scroll down on your Profile page to view all the recognition you’ve received—this includes birthdays, work anniversaries, and more. Your Employee Yearbook is also accessible here.

What if I have recognitions from before joining Empuls?

Your past recognitions from other platforms can be migrated into Empuls. Once imported, they will appear in the My Profile section.
