Sharing a Recognition
Step 1: To share a specific LinkedIn post, click on Share and select Share on LinkedIn.
Step 2: Next, authenticate with your LinkedIn credentials and permit Empuls to share messages on your behalf.
Note: Empuls does not capture or save user information in this process.
Step 3: Once successfully authenticated, you will see the 'Share on LinkedIn' popup within your Empuls tab. Verify the message and click on Post on LinkedIn to share your recognition.
Managing Shared Recognition
Your shared recognition posts on LinkedIn are managed through LinkedIn directly. You can like, comment, edit, or delete posts from LinkedIn as you would any other post. Empuls doesn't manage the lifecycle of LinkedIn posts after sharing.
If you disconnect your LinkedIn account, previously shared posts remain visible on LinkedIn but no new shares can be sent.
Privacy and Professional Judgment
Consider your professional image before sharing each recognition. Some recognitions may be sensitive or internal. Empuls assumes you exercise judgment in what you share publicly.
Your organization's social media policy may provide guidance on sharing workplace recognitions. Comply with your company's policies regarding external communications.
Privacy and Sharing Guidance
Before sharing a recognition on LinkedIn, take a moment to consider whether the content is appropriate for a public professional audience.
Examples of recognitions that are generally suitable to share — being recognised for leading a successful project, completing a certification, contributing to a company milestone, or demonstrating a core value like innovation or collaboration. These reflect professional growth and are appropriate for a public profile.
Examples of recognitions you may want to keep internal — recognitions tied to sensitive business situations, personal circumstances, internal team conflicts, or anything that references confidential projects or clients. Sharing these publicly could conflict with your organisation's confidentiality or social media policies.
Once a recognition is posted to LinkedIn, it follows LinkedIn's standard post visibility rules. By default, posts may be visible to your connections or to the public depending on your LinkedIn account's visibility settings.
If you want to limit who sees your post, adjust your post audience directly in LinkedIn before publishing — you can choose between Anyone, Connections only, or specific groups. Refer to LinkedIn's Help Center for the most up-to-date guidance on managing post visibility.
Your organisation's social media policy may also provide specific guidance on sharing workplace content externally. When in doubt, check with your HR or communications team before posting.
