Overview

Empuls and SAP Success Factors integration allows employees to recognize peers, redeem rewards, and complete engagement tasks directly within your SAP SuccessFactors environment. By unifying these tools, organizations can build a culture of appreciation in the flow of work—eliminating the need to switch apps or remember multiple logins.

Follow this guide to start recognizing and rewarding your team instantly within the SAP SF.

1. Send Instant Recognition

Why this matters: Boost team morale instantly without disrupting your workflow. Timely, public appreciation reinforces positive behavior and increases peer visibility across the organization.

Step 1: Log In

Log in to your SAP SuccessFactors account using your standard credentials.

Step 2: Recognize

Navigate to the Home page and click the prominent "Recognize" button to launch the recognition tool.

Step 3: Customize & Send

In the single modal workflow, search for and select the colleague(s) name you wish to appreciate. Choose the appropriate Award Category, tag a specific Core Value (e.g., "Customer First"), and write a personalized message in the citation box. Click Send to instantly publish the post to the Company Feed for everyone to see.

Tip: Use the AI Recommendations tool (located at the bottom of the message box) to help draft impactful citations.

2. Redeem Reward Points

Why this matters: Instant gratification with one-click access to a global marketplace. Select from thousands of locally relevant gifts and experiences without navigating to a separate portal.

Step 1: Enter the Marketplace

On the Home Page, click the "Redeem Rewards" button. This will automatically authenticate you and redirect you to the full Rewards Marketplace within the SAP interface, showing your current points balance.

Step 2: Select & Checkout

Use the Country/Region drop-down menu to filter rewards available in your specific location. Browse categories such as Gift Cards, Merchandise, Experiences, or Charity.

Step3: Add to Cart and Pay

Select your desired item, add it to your cart, and click Pay to instantly redeem your points and complete the transaction.

3. Stay Connected (The Empuls Tab)

Why this matters: Access your single command center for culture. Manage administrative tasks like approvals, participate in surveys, and celebrate team milestones all in one view.

Step 1: Open the Hub

On the SAP SuccessFactors home page, click the "Empuls" tab to launch the full engagement dashboard.

Step 2: The dashboard aggregates all your engagement tasks in one place. From here, you can:

  • Appreciate & Redeem: Quickly launch the recognition tool to thank a peer or jump straight to the rewards store to spend your points.

  • Explore Perks: Browse exclusive employee discounts, benefits, and special offers available to your organization.

  • Action High-Priority Items: Immediately see critical tasks that require attention, such as approving pending award nominations (specifically for Managers) so no request gets missed.

  • Participate in Surveys: View and respond to active Pulse Surveys, quizzes, or feedback forms to share your voice on company culture.

  • Celebrate Milestones: Check the "Celebrations" widget to see who has an upcoming birthday, work anniversary, or is a new joiner, and send them a quick wish.

  • Manage Settings (Admins Only): Access administrative tools to configure system messages, adjust platform settings, and manage user preferences.
