Easily delegate temporary access to your account to another user.

What is Delegate User Access?

Delegate User Access allows you to temporarily grant another user access to your account. This feature is useful for tasks like covering responsibilities during absences. You can create, manage, and deactivate delegations easily while ensuring the original account holder is notified of all access activities.

Creating a Delegation

Step 1: Go to Admin > User Access Settings > Delegate User Access and click on ‘Crete Delegation’.

Step 2: Select the user accounts:

  • Choose the account you want to delegate.

  • Select the user to whom you are delegating access.

Step 3: Click "Create Delegation."

Once the delegation is successful, it will appear in the list of delegations.

For Instance: If you delegate Sahil New User's account to Yash Kumar, Sahil will be notified whenever Yash accesses their account.

Delegated Access – Logging in as Another User

If access has been delegated to you, you will be able to view and log in as the user who granted the delegation by:

  • Clicking on your profile icon

  • Selecting Switch User

    • If multiple users have delegated access to you, you'll see a list of accounts here.

    • Simply choose the account you want to access.

  • You will also be required to enter a reason before logging in as the selected user.

Deactivating a Delegation

  1. Locate the delegation in the list.

  2. Click the person icon next to the delegation.

  3. Confirm to deactivate the delegation.

Search and Filter Delegations

  • Search: Enter the email address in the search bar to quickly find a delegation.

  • Filter: Use the dropdown menu to filter delegations by active or inactive status.

FAQ's

Q. Can I delegate access to multiple users at once?
No, access can only be delegated to one user per delegation. You must create separate delegations for each user if needed.

Q. Will the original user know when their account is accessed via delegation?
Yes, the original account holder receives a notification every time their account is accessed by the delegated user.

Q. Can I edit a delegation once it’s created?
No, delegations cannot be edited. You must deactivate the existing delegation and create a new one to make changes.

Q. Can I delegate to a user account without notifying them?
Yes, just enter the reason and uncheck the checkbox.
